ADULT JIU-JITSU PROGRAM

People's primary goal in joining Martial Arts vary. Some join Martial Arts looking to get in shape, while others join for other benefits such as stress-relief or discipline and confidence. Most however, come to the martial arts like Jiu-Jitsu for its efficiency, and health benefits.

 

At Synergy, our academy's adult program focuses on both the self-defense and sport aspect of Jiu-Jitsu. Our programs core curriculum focuses around the combination of Jiu-Jitsu and Judo, and also incorporates both Gi and No-Gi training to give the student a well rounded approach to their training. 

At the academy, our adult program is separated into a fundamentals and advanced program with equal days of both types of training throughout the week. 

ADULT BJJ FUNDAMENTALS

The fundamentals class at Synergy is offered in both Gi and No-Gi format, and is designed to jump start those students who are brand new to grappling, as well as provide a solid foundation in Jiu-Jitsu theory and technique. This class provides a core of movements, techniques, strategies, and concepts that will form the base for learning everything that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Judo has to offer.

At Synergy this class is offered two times per week, and is heavily focused around drilling and positional training to help our students be better prepared for the advanced class, while also allowing a better understanding of the movements of Jiu-Jitsu and Judo that will allow them to succeed. 

ADULT ADVANCED BJJ 

A fast paced and more in depth look at Jiu-Jitsu as it applies to competing with increasingly skilled opponents in both the standing and ground components to grappling and competition. Movements from the Fundamentals programs are woven together in succession and students further develop themselves as martial artists by interacting with the most experienced members of the academy.

At Synergy this class is offered two times per week, and like described above is heavily focused on the advanced concepts and techniques of Jiu-Jitsu and Judo to make students more successful in their training.
